Vocera Chief Medical Officer to be Closing Keynote at Stanford Medicine X Special Event

Bridget Duffy, MD, will be the closing keynote speaker at the Stanford Medicine X special event on Thursday, Sept. 4 at Stanford University.
Dr. Duffy's keynote, "Humanizing Healthcare: The Key to Innovation," will wrap up the Medicine X pre event, Entrepreneurship in Digital Health: Connecting Patients, Providers and Entrepreneurs. During her presentation, she will discuss the importance of creating seamless experiences of care using human-centered technologies and solutions. She will also connect the dots between efficiency, empathy, quality and safety to create innovative ways that build market differentiation, loyalty and growth in a competitive healthcare environment.
In addition to her keynote, Dr. Duffy will participate in the plenary panel, "The Prescription for Innovation in Healthcare," and she will lead a breakout session designed to map the gaps in healthcare communication. The interactive breakout will focus on the "quadruple aim," which Dr. Duffy defines as restoring joy back to the practice of medicine while also addressing the triple aim. She will also showcase a methodology to engage physicians in partnership with nursing and share evidence-based solutions that improve communication, care coordination and the patient, family and staff experience.
As the leader of the patient experience movement, Dr. Duffy has spent more than 20 years defining the components of an optimal healing environment and designing innovative ways to restore humanity to healthcare.
