Vocera Appoints Steven Soderberg Chief Information Officer

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 7, 2012-- Vocera Communications, Inc. (NYSE: VCRA), a provider of mobile communication solutions focused on addressing critical communication challenges facing hospitals, announced that Steven Soderberg has joined the company as chief information officer. Soderberg will lead Vocera’s global initiatives for deployment of enterprise class business applications.

Soderberg joins Vocera from Force10 Networks where, as CIO, he was responsible for strategic direction and oversight of IT. “Steven brings a vast amount of enterprise expertise that will help Vocera scale as we continue to build our corporate infrastructure,” said Bill Zerella, chief financial officer of Vocera. “We are delighted to have Steven on the team.”

Throughout his career Soderberg has led organizations, in both public and private companies, in IT strategy, planning and execution. Prior to joining Force10, Soderberg held the position of CIO at PGP Corporation, Otis Spunkmeyer Inc. and the Robert Mondavi Company. He has been a member of the Consortium of Information Systems Executives (CISE) – Silicon Valley. Soderberg received his BA in economics from Stanford University.
