Rochelle Magness, MSN-FNP, RN


Rochelle Magness joined Vocera in February 2021 and is the Senior Product Manager of Patient and Voice Experience. In this role, Rochelle works with Vocera customers and Vocera product teams to help develop solutions that will improve the staff and patient experience. Rochelle completed her Master of Science in Nursing at California State University, Los Angeles and has been a registered nurse for more than 15 years. During the first decade her career, Rochelle worked as a frontline oncology nurse and cardiac care nurse. For 6 years she worked as a clinical alarms specialist and educator at Hoag Hospital in Southern California, where she helped develop the organization’s clinical communication program. Rochelle has a passion for helping decrease the cognitive burden on clinicians by integrating clinical systems, improving user interfaces, and educating staff on clinical technology. She has contributed research on alarm fatigue and the cognitive load of healthcare workers to the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) – full study can be accessed here.
