Patrick de la Roza has been the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Vocera EASE business unit since August 2020. In this role, Mr. de la Roza is responsible for providing executive oversight for the company’s portfolio of solutions focused on improving the hospital experience for patients and families.
Prior to joining Vocera, Mr. de la Roza was the co-founder of EASE Applications, where he served as CEO from March 2014 to August 2020, and co-created a cloud-based communication platform and mobile application to improve human connections in healthcare and reduce the anxiety families often feel when a loved one is in the hospital. The EASE app enables nurses and other care team members to send HIPAA-compliant texts, photos, and video updates to patients’ loved ones. In August 2020, EASE Applications was acquired by Vocera, where Mr. de la Roza will be overseeing the company’s patient-facing solutions, fostering team development, strategic business growth, customer success, engineering, and innovation.
Before he co-founded EASE Applications, Mr. de la Roza served as an Executive Director for AdventHealth from August 2012 to February 2017. In this role at one of the largest hospital systems in the U.S., Mr. de la Roza supervised a 50,000-square-foot institution for medical innovation, surgery training, and education. Additionally, he was responsible for the overarching digital marketing and brand strategy, content development and social media.
In addition to experience with business development, operations, product development, and marketing, Mr. de la Roza also has an impressive background in residential and commercial real estate sales. During his tenure in this industry, he led sales and marketing efforts for a major development in Orlando, Fla.
Mr. de la Roza earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Management from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. Mr. de la Roza was a recipient of the “Gator 100 Award” by the University of Florida, honoring the fastest growing Gator-lead companies in 2020.
