The Vocera® communications system is a software-based solution that allows users in any 802.11b/g networked building or campus environment to communicate instantly, hands-free with team members. The Vocera system, accessed with simple voice commands through the wearable Vocera badge or Vocera smartphone, allows mobile workers to give and receive critical information which helps them perform their jobs.
The Vocera system software platform runs on a standard Windows server and contains the system intelligence, including call management, call connections, and user profiles, as well as the Nuance speech recognition and voiceprint verification software.
The Vocera system software version 4.1 builds on the existing Vocera platform and extends the Vocera functionality beyond the wireless network by providing access from traditional phone systems. Equipped with new features and improved functionality, Vocera 4.1 makes it easier for mobile workers and administrators to communicate with team members and other groups across an organization saving time and steps for more time with patients and customers.
