Vocera Communications Selected by AlwaysOn as Top 100 Private Company Award Winner

2005 Top Innovators Cupertino, Calif. (June 28, 2005) - Vocera Communications, Inc., a wireless communication company, today announced that it has been chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the 2005 Top 100 Private Company award winners. Vocera was handpicked by the AlwaysOn editorial team based on a set of five criteria - innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation.

The AO 100 was selected from over 1,000 companies, peer-nominated by leading venture capitalists, investment bankers and industry analysts. The AO 100 consists of private companies at all stages of development, from early to late stage.

Vocera Communications Named to Entrepreneur and PricewaterhouseCoopers 11th Annual Hot 100 Listing of Fastest-Growing New Companies in the U.S.

Intrepreneur Magazine's Hot 100 Irvine, Calif. (May 24, 2005) - Entrepreneur magazine has released its highly anticipated annual Hot 100 listing of the fastest-growing new companies in the United States. Vocera Communications was number 52 on the list. This year's listing was assembled from an initial list of fast-growing companies compiled by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Each Hot 100 company was founded no earlier than 2000, had annual sales that exceeded $1 million in 2004, and has a founder with a controlling interest in the business who is actively involved in daily operations. Entrepreneur reports that the hottest industry this year is technology, with 20 of the 100 companies listed falling into this category. This year's Hot 100 companies report $1.5 billion in total sales, a substantial increase from the $795.3 million reported by the companies in 2004. This year's Hot 100 companies also raised over 10 times as much startup capital as last year's group, an increase from $62.1 million to $631.1 million.

Vocera Communications Wins Two Technology Industry Awards

Red Herring Top 100 Private Companies Cupertino, Calif. (May 12, 2004) - Vocera Communications announced today it has been honored with two technology industry awards. First, Vocera has been selected as one of the 2004 Red Herring Top 100 firms. Each year, Red Herring identifies the top 100 private companies impacting the marketplace. Also, Vocera received a 2004 Network Computing Well-Connected Award for Convergence Design and Innovation and was a finalist in the Mobile & Wireless Technology category. Vocera Communications Named to AlwaysOn List of Top 100 Private Companies

AlwaysOn Top 100 2003 Cupertino, Calif. (June 23, 2003) - Vocera Communications Inc, a wireless communication company, today announced its inclusion on the first-annual AlwaysOn (AO) Top 100 Private Companies list. AlwaysOn, the media company that covers innovation in technology and business, compiled the list with assistance from KPMG's emerging business practice, KPMG 1Start. The two groups surveyed more than 1,000 venture investors, investment bankers, top entrepreneurs and executives, who nominated more than 700 companies for the competition. Technologic Names Top Ten at Wireless Ventures

Investors' Award 2003 Redwood City, Calif. (May, 2003) - Technologic Partners, the publisher of VentureWire, announced the winners of its Investors' Choice award at the conclusion of its two-day Wireless Ventures private equity conference held in Redwood City, Calif. The event covered mobile computing and data communications startups.

The Investors' Choice award goes to the ten privately held companies presenting at the conference judged most likely to succeed. Winners were selected from the 69 privately held companies that presented their business plans at the conference. The awards were based on voting by the audience of more than 400 entrepreneurs, investors, and industry executives, as well as a panel of experts, including Todd Morgenthaler, features editor, California Technology Stock Letter; J. Gerry Purdy, partner, Diamondhead Ventures; Thomas Rosch, general partner, InterWest Partners; and Charles Wolf, principal, Needham & Co.


Vocera Communications Wins Best of Show Award at ESC
San Francisco, Calif. (April 23, 2003) - Vocera Communications in conjunction with Elmic Systems was awarded the "Best of Show Award" at the 15th Annual Embedded Systems Conference in San Francisco. Products were judged on innovation in design use of an embedded application in an end-user application.


Vocera Communications Wins 2002 DEMOgod Award

Vocera Communications, Inc. was the winner of a DEMOgodT award at the DEMOmobile 2002 conference held the week of September 16. The company announced availability of its new instant voice communication system designed to improve communication for in-building mobile personnel. The conference focuses on emerging technologies and new products in wireless computing and mobile communication. The award represents excellence in product demonstrations.
