Up-to-date contact information
With Vocera Commander, contact lists are never out of date. Commander aggregates and continually updates up to 150 fields of contact information from multiple back-end sources. Ongoing updates are automatically pushed out to end-users' BlackBerry smartphones.
Flexible emergency notifications
Vocera Commander enables the sending of emergency alerts using any combination of email, BlackBerry PIN, SMS, and text-to-voice calls. Multiple delivery methods compensate for technical outages which often occur during an emergency. Real-time delivery receipts and responses from recipients let senders know within seconds whether the alert has been sent successfully and what actions each recipient will take.
Up-to-date content
Vocera Commander compresses, synchronizes, and continually updates hundreds of emergency documents and images (such as maps and floor plans), and pushes them out to BlackBerry smartphones. Supported document formats include Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF, HTML, and multiple image types.
Secure communication and content
Vocera Commander offers secure 256-bit AES encryption by leveraging the BlackBerry Enterprise System. All sensitive information including contacts, alerts, and documents are protected, logged, and reported, enabling post-event analysis.
