Brent D. Lang, President and Chief Operating Officer, was an early member of the Vocera team and has ascended through crucial roles at Vocera, including executive vice president and acting chief executive officer in 2007. From June 2001 through January 2007, he served as vice president of marketing and business development.

Prior to Vocera, Mr. Lang served as senior director of marketing at 3Com Corporation, a networking products company, where he worked from September 1995 to June 2001 . From June 1991 to June 1993, Mr. Lang worked as a strategy consultant for The Monitor Company, Inc., a consulting firm, advising Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Lang earned a B.S. degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
