Avalon Ventures — is a San Diego-based venture capital fund focusing on seed and early-stage companies in the wireless technology and life science industries primarily in San Diego and California.

Cisco Systems, Inc. — Cisco Systems, a networking hardware, software, and service corporation, made an equity investment in Vocera Communications.

GGV Capital — focuses on expansion-stage venture capital investments in the United States and Asia. Hany Nada, co-founder of GGV Capital, is on the board of Vocera Communications.

IDEO — creates products, services, environments, and digital experiences for companies seeking new ways to provide value for their customers.

Intel Communications Fund — the Intel Communications Fund, managed by Intel Capital, was established in September, 1999 and invests in technology companies that develop innovative networking and communications solutions.

Motorola, Inc. — Motorola, Inc., a wireless and broadband communications firm, through Motorola Ventures, its strategic venture capital arm, has made an equity investment in Vocera Communications.

RRE Ventures — RRE Ventures manages assets dedicated to investing in private information technology companies with a focus on markets in the software, communications, and financial services industries.

Thomas Weisel Venture Partners (TWVP) — is an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in emerging information technology companies.

Vanguard Ventures — is an early-stage venture capital firm that helps entrepreneurs build technology and life science companies. Don Wood, general partner at Vanguard Ventures, is on the Board of Vocera Communications.

Venrock — is a venture capital firm with offices in Palo Alto, Calif., New York, Cambridge, Mass., and Israel. Venrock primarily focuses on companies in technology, healthcare, and energy. Brian Ascher of Venrock is on the board of Vocera Communications.
