Marketing Program Manager
Scope of Position
The Marketing Program Manager is responsible for developing integrated strategies and campaigns to support business needs and drive customer acquisition and retention. This position oversees multiple programs and ensures that the work aligns with broader brand and business objectives.
The Marketing Program Manager will direct the development of company marketing programs from strategic conceptualization to planning and execution of programs for initiatives that encompass new products, vertical markets and geographies.
The Marketing Program Manager will develop a messaging and marketing mix, necessary to drive lead inquires and motivate selling opportunities. Marketing mix will include the creation of content for; collateral, website, customer case studies, video, events and other traditional and non-traditional marketing campaigns.
This position requires a strong knowledge of the marketing mix and an ability to lead cross functional teams. This person must be capable of conceiving and driving program execution and, where necessary, coordinating activities across functions including other departments within Vocera and, when applicable, our partners and customers. Strong leadership abilities are required as this position manages the involvement of multiple teams and requires marketing communication expertise at both strategic and executional levels.
Responsibilities
- Develops strategy and tactics for marketing programs for new products, new verticals and new international markets; including planning the scope of campaigns, developing content, execution and measurement
- Creates, maintains and regularly communicates worldwide marketing plans and schedules working closely with Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Business Development, and regional representatives. Articulates details such as program objectives, target audience, key message, timing, program sequencing, metrics and call-to-action details.
- Acts as liaison between Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Business Development and regional representatives
- Manages outbound direct response activities, including: direct mail, e-mail marketing, online marketing, client/prospect eNewsletter, paid search programs, list management and procurement for direct marketing
- Develops and maintains detailed quarterly metrics reports of all lead generation programs, analyzing the key components of each campaign, including lists, offers, messaging and creative
- Manages internal and external designers and creative staff to complete projects on time and on budget
Education, Skills and Experience
- Bachelors or equivalent degree, preferred
- Minimum of four years experience in a high-tech marketing communications program management role
- Ability to synthesize corporate and product messages and apply them to specific needs of each core market
- Detailed knowledge of the messaging process including multi-level message development, supporting scenarios and customer proof points
- Ability to develop a collateral hierarchy with solution overview, industry, product-specific levels, etc.
- Understanding of technical concepts: ability to understand key technical concepts and communicate the advantages and benefits of those technologies given the industry and competitive positions
- Understanding of global technology marketing, preferred
- Should be familiar with the steps necessary to develop messaging, competitive positioning, collateral, website and events strategies
- Must be capable of working in a matrix organization
- Must develop a working knowledge of next generation network technology and be able to communicate the advantages and benefits of Vocera products and solutions to prospects and customers
